Since 1951, Silverton area folks have been enjoying this local tradition. Originally held at the Silverton Hills Grange Hall, we now celebrate in our local Coolidge-McClaine City Park. Held on Father’s Day Sunday, June 16, 2019. Strawberry Festival Hours are 11:00 am until 5:00 pm. We serve up a strawberry delight with biscuits and ice cream and a free second helping of strawberries, all for just $6.00! Strawberry shortcake dessert is free for children 2 or under and 80 or over!

The Homer Davenport Community Festival, managed by The Silverton Rotary Club, and executed by many different community partners, offers a fresh face to a long-time Silverton tradition. The first full weekend in August is always a hot time in Oregon’s coolest small town, Historic Silverton. And this year will be no different! Silverton’s Annual Homer Davenport Community Festival boasts an impressive festival line-up including music, food and fun! Homer has something for all. The main action will be in Silverton’s historic Coolidge-McClaine City Park.
Silverton’s most famous son, Homer Davenport, was an internationally renowned political cartoonist and journalist in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Homer, left Silverton, fulfilling his desire to become an editorial cartoonist, but he never forgot and often mentioned his small-town Silverton Roots.
Silverton Fine Arts Festival is to celebrate the virtuoso talents of our finest local and regional artists, as well as to provide the public and our selected exhibitors with a show of the highest quality. It is a popular summer gathering place and a wonderful setting for the festival.
Since 1932, children of all ages have delighted in one of Silverton’s most treasured events — the Kiwanis Pet Parade! We hope that you will join us on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM as we celebrate hundreds of pets of all varieties – from snails to llamas – as well as marching bands, floats, and clowns.
